1. What is Corian®?

Corian is the brand name for a solid surfacing material created by DuPont that has earned trust and respect as a proven material that brings design versatility, long-term performance and value to any environment. More than just countertops, Corian lends itself to imaginative uses, innovative interpretations, and enduring applications. It can be cut, routed, drilled, sculpted, bent, or worked like a fine wood. The ever-evolving color palette now extends to more than 100 colors. If you can envision it, chances are you can create it with Corian.



2. Is Corian® stain-resistant?

Corian is stain-resistant.   Because Corian is nonporous, stains can't penetrate the surface, so it's easy to clean and maintain.  Unlike natural stone, Corian never requires sealing.



3. Is Corian® heat-resistant?

We do not recommend placing a hot pot directly on Corian®. Although Corian® remains stable and undamaged in temperatures up to 212ºF (100ºC), high heat or flame will damage your surface. In most cases, this damage can be repaired. To protect your Corian® from heat damage, always use a hot pad or a trivet with rubber feet when using hot pots, or heat-generating appliances like electric skillets or electric cooking pots.



4. How do I clean my Corian®?

Corian is easy to clean. Use of Soapy water or an ammonia-based cleaner is all that is necessary for day-to-day care of your Corian. Minor scratches, burns or discoloration are also easy to repair. In case of major damage you can contact us for restoration.

6. What is the composition of Corian®?

Corian is composed of 75% natural mineral materials with dominant the Aluminum hydrates and 25% acrylic resins. Due to the non-polyester composition has a heat resistant and does not alter its color over time.



7. What are the health benefits of Corian®?

According to studies by Bozeman Deaconess Hospital, the use of Corian prevents the growth of microorganisms and bacteria, due to its non-porous surface. With the recommended way of cleaning, it is clear that the Corian will benefit your health and hygiene of your premises.



8. Is Corian® environmentally friendly?

Solid surfaces are very environmentally friendly because they do not contain toxic substances. Also, the application restricts the use of other materials, such as wood and marble, preserving the natural resources of the planet.
